Aaron Adams – Project Engineer

I began working for Herzog while attending college in the late winter of 1997. I quickly knew this was a company I would like to work for when I graduated. I worked with a crew that repaired local short-line railroads around the St. Joseph, MO and Kansas City, MO areas. The people I got to know and the lessons I learned along the way proved to be invaluable.

After obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering I went to work for Herzog full time. I couldn’t wait to get out in the real world, and I knew Herzog had the tools to make me a successful construction manager.

I currently work in the Railroad Construction Division as a Project Engineer dealing with Heavy and Light Rail Transit Projects. Herzog has taken me to San Jose, San Francisco, Seattle, and currently to Salt Lake City to work on some major transit projects. These projects are/were quite impressive, and to work on projects of these magnitudes has been an honor and a healthy learning experience.

My experience with Herzog has taught me that with hard work, vision, and a positive attitude the opportunities are endless.

Kim Buczek – Equipment Accounting Assistant

I started working for Herzog in May of 1990 immediately following my graduation from Missouri Western State University. I have had an opportunity to work in different departments from Concrete to Payroll; I am currently working in the Equipment Accounting Department.

The Equipment Department has implemented a new GPS Tracking system to more efficiently track our numerous pieces of equipment. I am the Administrator over the part of this GPS System known as Resource Commander which enables our field offices to enter their own weekly equipment operating and ownership information. I am proud to say that for over 20 years I have worked for a family owned company that has such a strong and stable presence in our community.
