TECO Line Streetcar

This new start streetcar project was the first rail transit project constructed in the Tampa area. It was a 2.3-mile concrete embedded in-street track system constructed to serve the popular historic district of Ybor City and the central tourist areas of Tampa. The streetcar system has 12 stations providing public access to new areas that interfaced with bus interchanges, cruise ships, and entertainment venues. Herzog performed complete systems installation – OCS traction power, substations, train control signals, and upgrades to vehicular traffic signals.
