Overview

The reconstruction of 4.2 miles of track along the existing Santa Fe Southern Railway ROW extended the Rail Runner commuter passenger service into downtown Santa Fe, NM. In a joint venture partnership, Herzog performed the reconstruction of nine grade crossings, the installation of CTC railroad signal system, as well as the construction of three railroad bridges and two stations. Earthwork, excavation and grading, paving, drainage, pavement markings, signs, traffic signal modifications, and other work were also performed. Herzog also provides operations and maintenance services for the rail entire Rail Runner system.
