Overview

To accommodate the expansion of the TraPac terminal at Port of Los Angeles (POLA) Berths 136-147, the Berth 200 Rail Yard project was completed to provide a new, relocated switching and classification yard for the Class 1 railroads. Scope included demolition and construction of specialized trackwork, centralized train control (CTC) signalization improvements, and relocation of active petroleum pipelines all while maintaining existing operations. Work also involved the design and construction of a yard administration building and a locomotive service facility.
