Overview

CM/GC-1 is a transit development program for SANDAG, encompassing six different projects, founded by the Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project. The Mid-Coast Trolley project will extend trolley service from Santa Fe Depot in Downtown San Diego to the University City community, serving major activity centers such as Old Town, the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and Westfield UTC. Other projects include two heavy rail projects – the San Diego River Bridge Double Tracking and Elvira to Morena Double Tracking, as well as a roadway bridge connecting UCSD West Campus and East Campus over Interstate 5 (Gilman Bridge), the Rose Creek Bikeway Project, and project-wide utility relocations.
