Overview

As part of the design-build joint venture, Herzog managed the construction of a new LRT extension from the existing Utah Transit Authority (UTA) Sandy/Salt Lake TRAX LRT line in Salt Lake County southwest to South Jordan, UT. The Mid-Jordan line consisted of 14.1 miles of double-track concrete tie and ballast construction, along which eight miles ran parallel to an existing freight corridor. Work also included the design and construction of 13 new stations, eight structures, eight park-n-ride lots, and the installation of overhead catenary, traction power substations, signals, and communications.
