816 Consortium wins KCI Westside Solar Array project

Herzog is pleased to announce the 816 Consortium team will be entering into contract negotiations with the City of Kansas City on the KCI Westside Solar Array project. The team is made up of Kansas City-area firms Evergy, Burns & McDonnell, Herzog, and Savion, LLC. The project will be constructed in phases near the Kansas City International Airport on about 3,100 acres, producing up to 500 MW of electricity – a capacity to power up to 70,000 residential homes. This solar array project will be one of the largest solar farms in the United States. Herzog is excited to be part of this landmark solar project right here in America’s heartland.
