Wayside Signal & Communications Featured Project

FDOT SunRail Phase 2 Commuter Rail System Signal Installation

Herzog managed the design, constructed the buildout, as well as performed the in-service testing and commissioning of the wayside signal and grade crossing system to extend the current SunRail commuter rail service.

Scope

This commuter rail extension added 18 miles of double track and included work for the following:

  • New PTC-ready wayside construction
  • Crossing upgrades/replacements
  • Fiber optic cable & data radio
