NCTD PTC Systems Integration
Scope
Herzog PTC system integration services began in 2012 and reached the critical phase of Revenue Service Demonstration (RSD) in July of 2017, working through the various stages of implementation along the way.
- Full PTC system design, build & commissioning
- All technical segments including Onboard, Back Office, Wayside, and Communications
- All documentation including applicable FRA-required artifacts
Outcome
NCTD is one of four commuter railroads to have met the federally-mandated PTC deadline of December 31, 2018. As of July 2018, NCTD has run more than 2,000 trains afforded the protection of PTC and continues to meet all federally-mandated requirements.
