Overview

Herzog provided complete PTC systems integration solutions for one of the busiest passenger rail corridors in the U.S. Scope included the design, installation, testing, and implementation of PTC for the North County Transit District (NCTD) on the San Diego Subdivision, a 60-mile corridor from Orange County to downtown San Diego. Herzog has performed all necessary RF network engineering, GIS data collection, wayside integration, onboard equipment design, back office integration, and systems management integration. This project entered into the critical RSD phase for PTC in July 2017, received approval of its safety plan in September 2018, and achieved full implementation by the 2018 FRA-mandated deadline.
