Reflections on a Successful 2023 Safety Week

Herzog is proud to be part of the 280+ national and international firms that participated in Safety Week 2023 from May 1-5. Safety Week is a time when we take a moment to Press Pause and reflect on our shared commitment to Safety Without Compromise. This year’s theme was “STRONG VOICES, SAFE CHOICES,” which emphasized the importance of empowering our employees to Step Up and actively promote safety. Projects and transit properties across Herzog held safety demonstrations and focused briefings every day to remind ourselves to keep safety top of mind when at work and home.

HCC Safety Director of National Construction Trent Newton, Safety Director of Rail Services – U.S. Trey Rowe, Director of Safety – HTSI Brian Hadley, and Director of Safety Coordination Chris Comer, came together for a special Safety Week podcast. During this insightful discussion, they reflected on their observations in the field and shared inspiring examples of how Herzogians throughout the organization are consistently prioritizing safety as their top concern.
