Herzog’s TriRail transit staff (operations, dispatch, safety, and mechanical departments) recently collaborated with multiple fire rescue agencies in a training exercise held in Pompano Beach, FL.
The simulation depicted a passenger train vs vehicle scenario involving a trapped patient and a controlled onboard fire. The drill’s primary goal was to bolster coordination among agencies, ensuring a robust emergency response. Held every two years, the extensive planning for these drills spans months and emphasizes key aspects such as safety measures, collaboration, and communication. The training not only delved into firefighting and rescue tactics but, for Herzog, highlighted the importance of prioritizing Safety Without Compromise at every stage of the emergency response process. Great job on a successful training, TriRail team!
