HSI – Hats off to Chief Operator Terry White and Assistant Operator Jacob Tilden! Their unwavering commitment to safety and vigilance was on full display during a recent testing job. On July 11, 2023, in Chubb Lake, MN, they exemplified the essence of “if you see something, say something” when a potentially dangerous situation emerged. A westbound train had entered the limits of a rail flaw detection crew without any acknowledgment, raising concern among the team. Recognizing the urgency, Terry and Jacob swiftly took action, contacting the oncoming train just in the nick of time, preventing a possible on-track collision. Their remarkable heads-up play, closely monitoring the radio and the train’s whereabouts, is what saved the day. Their dedication to ensuring the safety of everyone involved is truly commendable!
