Kansas City, MO – The KC Streetcar has enjoyed a steady increase in ridership over the past two years and finally surpassed five million passenger trips this October. With Herzog Transit Services, Inc. operating the line, the streetcar has achieved nearly 95% on-time performance (OTP) and reached “an employee safety record of 863 total days injury-free.” Detailed ridership statistics can be found on the KC Streetcar website. More improvements are planned along the line including additional canopy structures, two new vehicles, and various art installations to improve the passenger experience.
