Overview

Herzog is responsible for the maintenance of Metrolink’s rail infrastructure including track, bridge, right-of-way, signal, communications, train control systems, specialized maintenance equipment and maintenance support facilities. The service area for the Southern California Regional Rail Authority or the “Authority” comprises over 33,000 square miles and serves a population of approximately 16 million. As of November 2018, the Authority provides commuter rail services across seven routes, serves 62 stations, serves a population of approximately 16 million, and operates over 535 route miles. Metrolink shares it’s corridor with the North County Transit District, Union Pacific Railroad, and the BNSF Railway.
