Overview

In May 2000, Herzog was awarded a contract to provide maintenance of passenger rail equipment services to New Jersey Transit on their Atlantic City Line. The contract has been extended twice and involves the daily inspection, servicing, fueling, cleaning and light repair of 24 trains per day operating between Philadelphia and Atlantic City. This service operates 365 days per year, plus approximately 25 special trains with enlarged consists each year over a 65-mile corridor with nine station stops.

The service complies with FRA, AAR, Northeast Operating Rules Advisory Committee (NORAC), and all other federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
