Overview

This intermodal rail storage yard expansion project includes the construction of five new railroad storage tracks that will expand the existing railyard to 11 total storage tracks, railroad signalization, compressed air equipment, new access roadways and a rail bridge, the handling and disposal of contaminated soil, utility modifications including new high mast light poles, and other site improvements. The project consists of 38,000 ft of new ballasted track, 20 turnouts, one crossover, 43,000 tons of ballast, realignment of an existing grade crossing, and construction of a new 380-ft by 86-ft-wide railroad bridge that will carry four tracks over an open water channel.
