Overview
This freight rail facility expansion project involved the construction of eight, 7,000 lf transfer tracks within this 103-acre CSX facility. Crews demolished and relocated 35,000 ft of existing track, installed 20 #10 turnouts, and constructed 50,000 ft of Class I track (steel tie and wood tie) using new and used materials provided by CSX. The expansion resulted in increased facility capacity from 350,000 lifts per year to 750,000 lifts per year.
