Overview

This high-speed rail project consists of building new track infrastructure in the median of the I-15 highway between Las Vegas, NV and Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The southwest-northeast corridor contains 218 miles of track in a sealed corridor to facilitate speeds up to 218 mph. Project features include 700,000 concrete rail ties, 2,200,000 million tons of ballast, 63,000 tons of steel rail, 322 miles of overhead lines, 3,400,000 million square feet of retaining walls, and over 160 structures including viaducts and bridges.
